Bringing things up to date

I thought it time to put something here.

2015 has been a busy year with surveys and RCD advice featuring in my work with some coding. I have added to the number of houseboats inspected and have probably now surveyed all the ones in my local area.

There has been some sailing some weeks with OYT South on John Laing which is soon to be retired. The replacemnt vessel “Prolific” is newer with more space and different challenges. Below is “prolific” coming out for a winter refit, survey and coding. As the Coding surveyor for OYT I am looking forward to making sure she is ready for the 2016 season. Having sailed her from Norway I am impressed with her in every way.

Prolific lifted out for survey and coding

It was also my job to undertake the prepurchase survey in Norway. While there I discovered the oselvar a superb Norwegian working and pleasure rowing boat. given the opportunity i couldn’t resist rowing this one across the fjord at Stavanger.

Rowing Norway

While talking about rowing, as member of the Hamble River Rowing club I joined other members to row the Great River Race -20 odd miles up the Thames. We made good time and had a real adventure.  Below are the Red Rosies about to pass under Tower BridgeUnderTower Bridge
